Mitchell and community partners hosted a storytelling workshop on immigration on Thursday, Nov. 20, in Hawthorne.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop, called \u201cThe Journey of Us: Honoring the Diverse Immigration Stories that Shape Us,\u201d focused on the diverse immigration stories that make up L.A. County and the nation, and also explored how people\u2019s histories and futures connect across generations and cultures. It is part of Mitchell\u2019s monthly Second District Racial Justice Learning Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>The Del Aire Park Community Center was filled with community members ready to share their journeys and experiences.
