WE\u2019LL START HERE ON THE SURFACE STREETS AT 47 AT STOCKTON BOULEVARD, WHERE WE HAVE AN OVERTURNED CEMENT TRUCK, AND YOU CAN SEE SPEED SENSORS THERE SHOWING SOME MINOR SLOWING. MIKE TESELLE HAS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE WITH AN UPDATE ON THAT CRASH. MIKE. YEAH, AND BRIAN, I\u2019LL GIVE YOU THE VISUAL. I\u2019LL STEP OUT OF THE WAY. THIS IS LITERALLY THE MIDDLE OF 47TH AVENUE, JUST TO THE WEST OF STOCKTON BOULEVARD. THAT IS A CEMENT TRUCK THAT IS ON ITS SIDE ON THE MEDIAN HERE. THE BAD NEWS IS, YOU KNOW, THAT IS A CEMENT TRUCK THAT APPEARS TO HAVE CEMENT IN IT. SO IT\u2019S GOING TO BE QUITE A MESS TO TRY AND UPRIGHT THIS TRUCK. GET THIS OUT OF HERE. THE GOOD NEWS HERE IS IT APPEARS THE DRIVER IS RELATIVELY OKAY. AND THAT TRAFFIC IN BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN GET AROUND THIS. IT IS SLOW. IT\u2019S ONE LANE ON BOTH SIDES. WHETHER YOU\u2019RE COMING FROM 99 OR COMING FROM STOCKTON BOULEVARD. BUT KEEP IN MIND IT IS STILL AN ACTIVE SCENE AND QUITE A MESS OUT HERE. SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING ON 47TH AVENUE HERE AS PART OF YOUR MORNING COMMUTE, A LOT OF PEOPLE SLOWING DOWN TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS ONE. THAT\u2019S YOUR REASON FOR SLOWING. GOING TO BE HERE A WHILE, AS THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS NOW CLEARED THE SCENE AND NOW WAITING FOR THOSE CREWS TO GET HERE. AND ONCE THE BIG RIG REVEALS, YOU\u2019LL SEE WHAT THAT TOW CREW HAS TO DEAL WITH TRYING TO UPRIGHT THAT CEMENT TRUCK. THIS YOUR LIVE LOOK? 47TH AVENUE, JUST EAST OF STOCKTON BOULEVARD. BRIAN. \t\tEditorial Standards \u24d8<\/a><\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\tA cement truck crashed Tuesday morning in the south Sacramento area, causing some traffic congestion for the morning commute.The Sacramento Police Department said the solo-vehicle crash happened just before 5:40 a.m., and the driver was not injured.The truck overturned in the center median of 47th Avenue just west of Stockton Boulevard. It is on the center median and is blocking one lane in each direction.Traffic can flow through both directions of 47th Avenue, but drivers are slowing down to look at the crash.Crews with the Sacramento Fire Department have since left the scene. Towing crews will now have to work to upright the cement truck and clear the road.Cement has also spilled onto the road.This is a developing story. Stay with KCRA 3 as we work to gather details.
