Now they head down south to the sunny beaches in Anaheim to take on the red-hot Ducks. The Vancouver Canucks will be going down to California, hobbled though, after Kevin Lankinen is out for personal reasons, as Jiri Patera takes over the crease. In what has been a red-hot few weeks for the heavy hitters on the Canucks, the Flames were able to hold Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, Conor Garland, and Kiefer Sherwood completely off the scoreboard as Filip Hronek and Quinn Hughes pot the lone two Canucks goals and Jake DeBrusk and Kevin Lankinen cover the assists.

Anaheim Ducks News and Notes:

The Ducks return to the ice for the first time in four days after their massive 4-3 overtime victory over the juggernaut Vegas Golden Knights. It was a great mix of production up and down the lineup for one of the best young teams in the league. Go to shots like Cutter Gauthier and Troy Terry were able to capitalize as well as sneaky contributors like Jackson LaCombe and Olen Zellweger were able to get one past Akira Schmid as well, propelling the Ducks to come back from 2-0 early. They’re coming into tonight’s matchup winning three of their last four games, going from an intense overtime victory to a top team in the West to a struggling, injury-riddled Canucks team, itching to get back in the playoff race.

Vancouver Canucks Projected Lines:

DeBrusk-E. He is fairly unproven as the third string to one of the best goaltending tandems in the league. He is coming off his first appearance and only appearance with the Vancouver Canucks on November 17th against the Florida Panthers, where he let in seven goals on forty shots. Safe to say, he didn’t get that much help from the defense in that game with forty shots on goal, but if Vancouver wants to stay competitive against a very stacked Ducks team, Patera needs to play more consistently.

Anaheim Ducks:

In his first full season with the Anaheim Ducks, Beckett Sennecke has been on a tear, gathering seven goals and nine assists while also looking to continue a four game point streak in tonight’s game. He’s found a home on the top line with other young hot rods in Cutter Gauthier and Leo Carlsson. Speaking of which, both of his linemates are in the top twenty in points so far this season, with Gauthier at 17th with 26 points and Carlsson sitting at 6th with 29 points, wrapping up one of the most productive lines in hockey currently and a very imposing threat for a roughed-up Canucks team.

Injury Report:

Vancouver Canucks:

G Kevin Lankinen – Day to Day
C Filip Chytil – IR
C Teddy Blueger – IR
G Thatcher Demko – IR
D Guillaume Brisebois – IR
D Jett Woo – IR
D Derek Forbort – LTIR
LW Nils Hoglander – LTIR

Anaheim Ducks:

C Mikael Granlund – Day to Day
C Ryan Poehling – Day to Day

Next Game:

Vancouver Canucks: Friday, November 28 at San Jose Sharks – 4pm ET
Anaheim Ducks: Friday, November 28 vs Los Angeles Kings – 4pm ET

Discover more from Inside The Rink

Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.

Vancouver Canucks (9-12-2, 20 pts) at Anaheim Ducks (14-7-1, 29 pts)Venue: Honda CenterDate: Wednesday, November 26Time: 10:00 pm…

[36
29453,163,165,164,1720,27929,41676,1718,20225,41677,2065,2099,41678,41679,41680,41681,1716,16534,41682,41683,41684
0":"post-70739","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-anaheim","8":"tag-akira-schmid","9":"tag-anaheim","10":"tag-anaheim-headlines","11":"tag-anaheim-news","12":"tag-beckett-sennecke","13":"tag-calgary-flames","14":"tag-conor-garland","15":"tag-cutter-gauthier","16":"tag-elias-pettersson","17":"tag-filip-hronek","18":"tag-florida-panthers","19":"tag-jackson-lacombe","20":"tag-jake-debrusk","21":"tag-jiri-patera","22":"tag-kevin-lankinen","23":"tag-kiefer-sherwood","24":"tag-leo-carlsson","25":"tag-olen-zellweger","26":"tag-quinn-hughes","27":"tag-rogers-arena","28":"tag-vegas-golden-knighs
["GET
