{"id":71345,"date":"2025-11-26T23:04:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T23:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/71345\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T23:04:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T23:04:08","slug":"rams-bring-tutu-atwell-and-ahkello-witherspoon-off-injured-reserve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/71345\/","title":{"rendered":"Rams bring Tutu Atwell and Ahkello Witherspoon off injured reserve"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/rams\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Rams<\/a> welcomed back two key players from injured reserve, placed another player on the injured list and claimed a former player off waivers.<\/p>\n<p>It made for a busy Wednesday as the Rams prepared to play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in Charlotte, N.C.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams, who are 9-2 and hold the No. 1 seed for the NFC playoffs, designated receiver <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/rams\/story\/2025-09-28\/rams-vs-indianapolis-colts-game-recap\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tutu Atwell<\/a> and cornerback <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/rams\/story\/2025-09-15\/ahkello-witherspoon-injury-rams-eagles\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ahkello Witherspoon<\/a> to return from injured reserve. Atwell was sidelined four games because of a hamstring injury but coach Sean McVay said Atwell is expected to play against the Panthers.<\/p>\n<p>Witherspoon has been out since suffering a broken collarbone in the second game of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Cornerback Roger McCreary, acquired in an October trade with the Tennessee Titans, was placed on injured reserve after suffering a hip injury in the Rams\u2019 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. McCreary had been playing special teams, and he played only one defensive snap against the Buccaneers.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams welcomed back cornerback Derion Kendrick, a 2022 sixth-round draft pick by the Rams, who was claimed off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.<\/p>\n<p>Kendrick started 18 games for the Rams before suffering a season-ending knee injury on the first day of training camp in 2024.
