Police are continuing their investigation of a shooting near Houghton Park that occurred after a traffic accident.<\/p>\n
Long Beach Police Department officers responded at approximately 11:20 p.m. Monday to the 6300 block of Myrtle Avenue and East 63rd Street regarding a shooting.<\/p>\n
When they arrived at the scene, they learned a male victim and a male suspect were involved in a minor traffic collision, which led to an argument, police said.<\/p>\n
One of the men began to drive away when the second followed and fired multiple shots at him, hitting the victim\u2019s vehicle, according to the department.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the day, Long Beach Police Department officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 200 block of Plymouth Street on Monday at 4:16 a.m.<\/p>\n
According to the preliminary investigation, officers learned two male teenagers were engaged in an argument, when one stabbed the other, the police department said.<\/p>\n
The suspect ran away from the scene prior to officers\u2019 arrival and the investigation of the stabbing is ongoing.<\/p>\n
