Macklin Celebrini returned to the ice at San Jose Sharks training camp for the first time since day one, Sept. 18<\/p>\n
The centerman was dealing with an illness and had skated before the main group on Sunday. Celebrini returned to<\/a> the same line he skated with on the first day with Will Smith and Jeff Skinner.<\/p>\n Placed between Tyler Toffoli and Ryan Reaves<\/a> in the locker room, Celebrini talked about the new players the Sharks brought in over the summer.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have some guys in here that can help our group and help us contribute to the goals that we want. Win some more games this year,\u201d Celebrini said. \u201cI think we need to take that next step and push towards that. I think we have a good group.\u201d<\/p>\n Advertisement. Celebrini didn\u2019t diminish what the room was like last season, but admitted that adding Reaves has only improved it more.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, I think we had a really good group, but he helps tremendously,\u201d Celebrini explained. \u201cJust the attitude he brings and the energy. The way he treats everyone, that\u2019s really good.\u201d<\/p>\n Celebrini\u2019s impression of Michael Misa<\/p>\n The San Jose Sharks could start with an 18-year-old center on their NHL roster for the second consecutive season. Michael Misa was No. 2 overall in the 2025 NHL Draft and has impressed in camp so far. <\/p>\n Following the first round of roster cuts<\/a>, the Sharks appeared to have separated the camp into two groups: an NHL group and a non-NHL group. We hung out a bunch before camp started,\u201d Celebrini said of Misa. \u201cHe had to go to rookie camp, so I haven\u2019t seen him in a bit. I think he\u2019s played really well, and it\u2019s fun to watch him.\u201d<\/p>\n Misa skated on a line with William Eklund<\/a> and Collin Graf<\/a> during Tuesday\u2019s training camp practice. <\/p>\n Celebrini has been offering Misa advice about what his experience was like as an 18-year-old participating in their first NHL camp.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019ll figure it out.
