(Photo courtesy of the San Diego Foundation)<\/p>\n<p>A major San Diego bank announced it will match donations to the growing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdfoundation.org\/community-impact\/impact-areas\/crisis-philanthropy\/san-diego-unity-fund\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Unity Fund<\/a> to help local residents facing challenges because of federal cuts in social services.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.calbanktrust.com\/personal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">California Bank &amp; Trust<\/a> said it will match donations up to $25,000 for the fund, which was created by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdfoundation.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Foundation<\/a> in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/pricephilanthropies.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Price Philanthropies<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prebysfdn.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Prebys Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The fund is designed to help residents facing growing economic hardship as federal support declines by providing for essentials like food, housing and healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Donations for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdfoundation.org\/fifty-forward\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fifty &amp; Forward<\/a> program will also be matched. This program focuses on long-term solutions, investing in the future of children and families, education and the environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of our core values as an organization is giving back and supporting our communities,\u201d said CB&amp;T President and CEO Eric Ellingsen. \u201cBy supporting San Diego Foundation and its San Diego Unity Fund and Fifty &amp; Forward through this campaign, we hope to double the impact and help them deliver critical relief where it matters most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every contribution made to the Unity Fund or Fifty &amp; Forward as part of the bank\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calbanktrust.com\/personal\/about-us\/news\/press-releases\/Giving-Season-Campaign-Will-Help-More-San-Diegans-with-Urgent-and-Long-Term-Needs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Giving Season Campaign<\/a> through Dec. 31 will be matched by CB&amp;T dollar for dollar up to $25,000.\u00a0 Donors can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calbanktrust.com\/personal\/about-us\/news\/press-releases\/Giving-Season-Campaign-Will-Help-More-San-Diegans-with-Urgent-and-Long-Term-Needs\/#\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">contribute online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis generous match from California Bank &amp; Trust helps respond to the urgent needs of San Diegans\u00a0 by keeping food on tables, families housed and neighbors healthy,\u201d said San Diego Foundation President &amp; CEO Mark Stuart.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis vital commitment goes even further by investing in long-term solutions that keep families strong and neighborhoods thriving,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is what corporate leadership looks like.
