BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A driver died Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Elmo Highway and Kendra Street, the McFarland Police Department said.<\/p>\n
At 12:58 p.m., officers responded to the intersection regarding a crash. When they arrived, they found two vehicles involved in a crash and determined that one of the drivers had reported significant injuries.<\/p>\n
Emergency personnel responded and attempted to save the driver’s life. The driver died at the scene.<\/p>\n
The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the driver’s identity at a later time, once the family is notified.<\/p>\n
Officers are still investigating the scene as of 2 p.m. Drivers are advised to drive with caution in the area and to expect traffic delays.<\/p>\n
Police have not made any arrests at this time.<\/p>\n
The cause of the crash is under investigation.<\/p>\n
