The first installment of Kern County property taxes will become delinquent if not paid by 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, according to a news release from\u00a0Kern County Treasurer and Tax Collector Jordan Kaufman.<\/p>\n

Residents wanting to avoid a 10% late penalty, the release from the county says, must be submit payments by or postmarked on or before Dec. 10, 2025.<\/p>\n

Methods include via mail to KCTTC Payment Center, P.O. Box 541004, Los Angeles, CA 90054-1004, in person at the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office located at 1115 Truxtun Ave., 2nd Floor, Bakersfield, CA 93301, or via the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s website at kcttc.co.kern.ca.us<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Cards can be used for online payments, the release says, but a service fee of 2.19% of the transaction amount with a minimum fee of $2 will be assessed on all credit card and debit card usage.<\/p>\n

Electronic checks can also be used for all internet payments with zero fees, it says, and more information can be accessed on the department’s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tax bills were mailed to all property owners whose addresses were on file with the County Assessor as of Jan. 1, 2025, the release says.<\/p>\n
