Authorities Identify Man Killed Crossing Near Intersection <\/p>\n
BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(Dec. 2, 2025) \u2014 Adrien Matthiew Andino, 34, of Bakersfield, died Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on South H Street, and investigators believe speed and impairment may have played a role, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The Bakersfield Police Department reported that officers were called to the area of South H Street and Wilson Road at about 10:25 p.m. on November 25, 2025, for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they found the young man lying in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel attempted to assist, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Police said the driver of the involved vehicle, a man who was the only person in the car, stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers throughout the investigation.<\/p>\n
According to a preliminary report, the pedestrian was crossing South H Street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to determine the extent to which speed and possible impairment contributed to the fatal crash.<\/p>\n
