Credit: Jonathan Hidalgo for Berkeleyside<\/p>\n<p>\ud83e\udea7 Demonstrations for the second nationwide \u201cNo Kings\u201d protest against the Trump administration\u2019s anti-democratic actions are expected to draw big crowds across the East Bay. The rally this past June <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berkeleyside.org\/2025\/06\/14\/no-kings-berkeley-oakland\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">had tens of thousands<\/a> of participants locally. <\/p>\n<p>Berkeley protests this Saturday are planned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize.us\/nokings\/event\/856136\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">at Telegraph Avenue and Bancroft Way<\/a>; from 11 a.m. to noon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize.us\/indivisible\/event\/844464\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">at San Pablo and University<\/a>; and from 1-3 p.m. at the pedestrian overpass <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize.us\/indivisible\/event\/844464\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">at the north end of Aquatic Park<\/a>, where activists will be \u201cin ocean creature costume with signs to protect endangered sharks, whales and seabirds imperiled by the President\u2019s Executive Orders.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In Oakland, a march hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/indivisibleeb.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Indivisible East Bay<\/a>, will kick off at noon at Wilma Chan Park. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilize.us\/nokings\/?tag_ids=27849\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">See a list<\/a> of all \u201cNo Kings\u201d protests.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udc26 The Berkeley Bird Festival is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berkeleyside.org\/2021\/10\/14\/berkeley-bird-festival\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">returning this year<\/a> with family-friendly activities such as birding field trips around the city, arts and crafts, and talks with bird experts.
