The first exam was granted on Nov. 4, so the diversion hearing has been delayed to late January.<\/p>\n<p>Patel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Z_ZXZTaKbQI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">allegedly threatened<\/a> the Bakersfield City Council on April 10, 2024, by saying, &#8220;We\u2019ll see you at your house, we\u2019ll murder you.&#8221; The threats were reportedly made in response to demands for the city to pass a resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Riddhi Patel (City of Bakersfield)\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/c5b66a09-6924-436f-9e72-f380d413702a-RIDDHIPATELFILE.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Riddhi Patel (City of Bakersfield)<\/p>\n<p>Officers booked Patel initially on eight counts of intent to terrorize and eight counts of threatening state officials for a total of 16 felony charges.
