They blew past the Liberty Patriots<\/a> 38-16 on Friday. The win was just business as usual for the Eagles, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.<\/p>\n Darriyon Page<\/a> had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 178 yards and three TDs. Those 178 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.<\/p>\n They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bakersfield Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That’s the most rushing yards they’ve managed all season.<\/p>\n Bakersfield Christian didn’t go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Smith<\/a> and Avery Jaramillo<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite the loss, Liberty had strong showings from Elmo Whitten<\/a>, who rushed for 152 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and Brogan Witcher<\/a>, who rushed for 73 yards and one score on only nine carries. Whitten also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.<\/p>\n Bakersfield Christian’s victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Liberty, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7.<\/p>\n Bakersfield Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against La Habra at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.<\/p>\n
