(Images courtesy of the company)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jackinthebox.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack in the Box<\/a> announced Thursday that it will sell its 550-restaurant Del Taco chain to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/yadav-enterprises-inc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yadav Enterprises<\/a> in a $115 million cash deal. <\/p>\n<p>The San Diego-based fast-food company said the sale will strengthen its balance sheet and allow it to focus on its primary brand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis divestiture is an important step in returning to simplicity, and we look forward to focusing on our core Jack in the Box brand,\u201d said CEO Lance Tucker in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a robust process, we are confident we have entered into a transaction with the right steward for Del Taco in its next chapter of evolution. We wish Del Taco success as they enter this next chapter,\u201d Tucker said.<\/p>\n<p>Fremont-based Yadav operates more than 310 franchise restaurants including Jack in the Box, Denny\u2019s and TGI Friday\u2019s, and owns the Taco Cabana and Nick the Greek brands.<\/p>\n<p>The transaction is expected to close by January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Jack in the Box stock was down nearly 9% in early trading on NASDAQ.<\/p>\n<p>READ NEXT\n\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The logos of Jack in the Box and Del Taco.
