Photo by Junyao Yang on Dec. 3, 2025. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tadaimasf.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tadaima<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/missionlocal.org\/2024\/08\/tadaima-japanese-sandwich\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">instagram-famous<\/a> Japanese-style sando and matcha spot, which regularly has a line down the block at its original location in the Mission, will open its third location in January in the space formerly occupied by Sunset Subs, at 1248 9th Ave.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Like the Mission location, the Inner Sunset spot will be within walking distance of a popular picnic spot: This time, Golden Gate Park, instead of Dolores Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Expect similar menu items: Sandwiches with fillings like chicken karaage and shrimp tempura served on soft, crustless white bread. Also: The same aesthetic. On a recent November morning, workers hustled to cover the storefront with the distinctive dark green tiles used at its other locations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"853\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/saint-frank-853x640.jpg\" alt=\"A man stands at a coffee shop counter near a small artificial Christmas tree, while several people sit at tables in the sunlit dining area.\" class=\"wp-image-800196\"  \/>Saint Frank Coffee, the specialty coffee shop, opened its third location at 744 Irving St. Photo by Junyao Yang on Dec. 3, 2025. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saintfrankcoffee.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saint Frank Coffee<\/a>, the specialty coffee company with locations in Russian Hill and SoMa, opened its third S.F. storefront at 744 Irving St., a spot formerly occupied by a Starbucks. So far, the line is out the door. The sun-lit, airy space is filled with workers on laptops during the week, and families with baby strollers (and babies) on the weekends.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to standard espresso drinks, interested parties can order a\u00a0 \u201ccompetition-style cappuccino\u201d for $10 (Jason Yeo, a barista at St. Frank, <a href=\"https:\/\/sprudge.com\/here-are-the-results-of-the-2025-us-barista-championship-301567.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">placed third<\/a> in the 2025 US Barista Championship, and St. Frank\u2019s owner, Kevin Bohlin, bragged to Eater earlier this year that St. Frank is \u201ca <a href=\"https:\/\/sf.eater.com\/2025\/3\/14\/24385175\/saint-frank-opening-san-francisco-inner-sunset\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">competition company.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"853\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/LaLe-announcement-853x640.jpg\" alt=\"A printed farewell letter from Lale is taped to a glass window, announcing the cafe\u2019s closure and expressing gratitude to customers and the community.\" class=\"wp-image-800208\"  \/>A sign on LaLe\u2019s door announces the closure of the Mediterranean-Turkish restaurant. Photo by Junyao Yang on Nov. 25, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>LaLe, a Mediterranean-Turkish restaurant at 731 Irving St., closed its doors in November after 11 years in the Inner Sunset.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery guest, every plate and every conversation has been part of our history \u2014 and for that, we are forever grateful,\u201d the owner, Suzan Sarikurt, wrote in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lalesf.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LaLe<\/a> will live on as a catering operation and as a line of ready-to-eat meals sold at grocery stores in the Bay Area.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/dumpling-park-480x640.jpg\" alt=\"Street view of Dumpling Park restaurant window with food posters, menu, and &quot;Never Stop Exploring&quot; slogan above the entrance. Photo by Junyao Yang on Dec. 3, 2025. <\/p>\n<p>The former Bank of America location at 800 Irving St., was the campaign office for <a href=\"https:\/\/missionlocal.org\/2024\/08\/see-how-they-run-at-womens-roundtable-lurie-mostly-listens-and-nods-along\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mayor Daniel Lurie\u2019s<\/a> successful mayoral run. Now, it\u2019s the campaign headquarters for Saikat Chakrabarti, one of several would-be <a href=\"https:\/\/missionlocal.org\/2025\/11\/nancy-pelosi-scott-wiener-connie-chan-saikat-chakrabarti\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nancy Pelosis<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/honswuntunhouse-sf.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hon\u2019s Wun-Tun House<\/a>, a Chinatown staple that has served Hong Kong style wonton soup since 1972, opened a third location at 1830 Irving St., just past 19th Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/marcelcafe1101\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marcel<\/a>, a new cafe at 1101 Taraval St., opened in late September in the former space of Tabita\u2019s Cafe. Expect classic brunch fare like bagels and eggs Benedict, as well as other items, like lobster cheese sandwich rolls and \u201c400 times coffee,\u201d a drink with frothy espresso floating on top of the milk.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/missionlocal.org\/author\/junyaoy\/\" rel=\"author nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" data-perfmatters-preload=\"\" alt=\"A person with long black hair smiles softly, standing outdoors in a park.
