SAN DIEGO: Gem buffs hold Gem & Mineral Show\u2026
\nThe nonprofit San Diego Mineral & Gem Society holds its Gem & Mineral Show, GemDiego, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 1 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 2 at Liberty Station Conference Center, 2600 Laning Rd. The show features gems, minerals, crystals, fossils, rough, cut stones, books, jewelry and slabs. There will be nearly 30 dealers and over 20 exhibits along with lapidary demonstrations, gem identification, kid\u2019s zone, door prizes and grand prize raffle.\u00a0 Free admission. Eateries are next door. San Diego Mineral & Gem Society was formed in 1934 and runs a museum and workshops at their headquarters, 1770 Village Pl., behind Spanish Village in Balboa Park. The museum has mineral, gem, lapidary and fossil specimens from around the world. The museum aims to educate the community about minerals, gems, fossils and the lapidary arts. Visit www.sdmg.org.
