{"id":84603,"date":"2025-12-07T03:39:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T03:39:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/84603\/"},"modified":"2025-12-07T03:39:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T03:39:07","slug":"jack-thompson-sends-the-bears-flying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/84603\/","title":{"rendered":"Jack Thompson Sends The Bears Flying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Jose Barracuda defenseman Jack Thompson scored the teddy bear toss goal at the 5:20 mark of the first period on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson took a back pass from San Jose Sharks prospect <a href=\"https:\/\/sharkshockeydigest.com\/san-jose-sharks-barracuda-bystedt-cagnoni-barkov-eriksson-ek-fox\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Filip Bystedt<\/a> and fired the wrist shot into the back of the net to set the Tech CU crowd free. <\/p>\n<p>Last season, center Lucas Vanroboys scored the teddy bear toss goal. Thompson became the 7th different player to score the goal, sending the teddies to charity. Other goal scorers include current San Jose Sharks forward <a href=\"https:\/\/sharkshockeydigest.com\/san-jose-sharks-goodrow-will-klein-los-angeles-dodgers-toronto-blue-jays-world-series\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Barclay Goodrow<\/a>, back in 2015.
