The retired actress, 61, was photographed shopping in Beverly Hills on Friday, Dec. 5.<\/p>\n

Bridget wore a black jacket over black pants and a white T-shirt. She paired her ensemble with a patterned scarf and a black crossbody purse.<\/p>\n

The Singles star styled her hair in a slicked-back bun and wore clear glasses.<\/p>\n

Bridget was seen smiling while carrying two paper bags out of a store filled with children’s toys.<\/p>\n

Bridget starred in several movies in the ’90s before retiring from acting in 2002. Her credits include The Godfather Part III<\/a>, Single White Female<\/a>, Jackie Brown, A Simple Plan and Lake Placid.<\/p>\n

The former actress\u2019 final movie was 2001\u2019s The Whole Shebang with Stanley Tucci<\/a>. However, she went on to star in the 2002 television film Snow Queen, which marked her last acting appearance.<\/p>\n

Bridget was born to a family of actors, including her father, Peter Fonda<\/a>, and aunt, Jane Fonda<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She is married to composer Danny Elfman<\/a>, with whom she welcomed son Oliver<\/a> in 2005.<\/p>\n

The couple were photographed in public<\/a> for the first time in more than a decade in April, when they were seen returning to their L.A.-area home after an apparent trip.<\/p>\n

At the time, Bridget was seen smiling as she carried her bags, while Elfman, 72, rolled a large blue suitcase.<\/p>\n

Bridget and Elfman, known for his work composing movies including The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/a>, Men in Black and Tobey Maguire<\/a>‘s first two Spider-Man films, married in November 2003.<\/p>\n

The two reportedly met when Elfman was hired to compose the music for Bridget’s 1998 movie A Simple Plan.<\/p>\n

In a 1993 interview with the Los Angeles Times<\/a>, Bridget opened up about the pressures she was experiencing in her career.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m sort of trying to be happy with my career. I think I should give myself a break, but I\u2019ve got this bug that rides me. You know, you should be doing better. So every time I work, I\u2019m frustrated with my physical inability to catch up to my mental picture,” she said.<\/p>\n
