(KGET) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office identified a woman who was found dead in a canal on Truxtun Avenue on May 17.<\/p>\n<p>Coroner officials said Amanda Woods, 34, was found on May 17 around 7:15 a.m. It is unknown how long her body was in the canal.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kget.com\/plus\/\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tWatch 17 News, After Sunrise and more local news free on your smart TV. Click to learn more about KGET+\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 1 she was \u201cpositively identified via DNA,\u201d according to a coroner\u2019s release.
