The series marks Tucson\u2019s first home action in December and the fourth and fifth meetings of eight this season between the Pacific Division rivals.<\/p>\n The clubs met just over a week ago on Dec. 3 in Bakersfield, where the Condors earned a 5-1 win. Tucson enters the weekend 1-2-0-0 against Bakersfield this season after the teams split a pair in Tucson on Oct. 24\u201325 before Bakersfield took the last two matchups.<\/p>\n That Dec. 3 meeting opened Tucson\u2019s recent three-game trip through California. After the loss in Bakersfield, the Roadrunners picked up three of a possible four points in San Jose with a 4-3 overtime loss Friday and a 6-2 win over the Barracuda on Saturday.<\/p>\n Bakersfield has gone 1-2-0-0 since the last meeting with Tucson, dropping two of three straight games against the Henderson Silver Knights. The Condors enter the weekend in sixth place in the Pacific Division with 24 points. Tucson sits in ninth with 21 points behind eighth-place Henderson (23 points) and seventh-place San Diego, which currently holds the final playoff spot in the division with 24 points.<\/p>\n THREE THINGS TO KNOW<\/p>\n NORDH STAR RISING Nordh has skated beside\u00a0Austin Poganski\u00a0and\u00a0Sammy Walker\u00a0on Tucson\u2019s top forward line in each of the last three games. His elevated play in the\u00a0top six has given Head Coach Steve Potvin more flexibility, allowing Tucson to\u00a0spread scoring throughout the lineup\u00a0and move the team\u2019s top two scorers \u2014\u00a0Cameron Hebig and Ben McCartney\u00a0\u2014 onto separate lines centered by\u00a0Kevin Rooney\u00a0and\u00a0Andrew Agozzino.<\/p>\n STEADY BENNY The power-play tally was his\u00a0second of the season, the\u00a019th of his AHL career, and the\u00a056th goal of his career\u00a0overall. He is now\u00a0four power-play goals shy\u00a0of tying\u00a0Michael Bunting (23)\u00a0for\u00a0second on the franchise\u2019s all-time PPG list, and\u00a0two goals shy\u00a0of matching\u00a0Lane Pederson (58)\u00a0for\u00a0fourth on the team\u2019s all-time goals list.<\/p>\n With\u00a018 points (8g, 10a) in 22 games, McCartney ranks\u00a0second on the team\u00a0in points, goals, and assists and\u00a0third in points per game\u00a0(0.82). He\u2019s also\u00a0tied for first in power-play points\u00a0with six (2g\/4a) and\u00a0tied for third in multi-point games\u00a0with three. His production has remained steady while taking on expanded special-teams usage and driving pace on his line at 5-on-5.<\/p>\n HE-BIG MAKING HISTORY Hebig has five points (3g, 2a) over his last five games dating to Nov. 26 vs. San Diego and leads Tucson in nearly every major offensive category, including goals (11), points (19) and points per game (0.90) through 21 contests. He also leads the team in multi-point games (5), multi-goal outings (3) and is tied for the Roadrunners\u2019 power-play points lead with six (3g, 3a). The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan product sits first among Roadrunners forwards in plus-minus at +3 and would become the franchise\u2019s all-time goal leader with his next marker.<\/p>\n Numbers to Know:<\/p>\n 9\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Tucson\u2019s blue line fueled the offense on last week\u2019s California swing, combining for\u00a0nine points from six different defensemen\u00a0across the three-game road trip.\u00a0Lleyton Moore\u00a0(2a),\u00a0Max Szuber\u00a0(2a), and\u00a0Robbie Russo\u00a0(2a) each posted a pair of assists on the trip, with Russo\u2019s two helpers in Game 1 marking his first points of the season and Moore\u2019s two-assist night in Game 2 counting as his first multi-assist game and second multi-point performance this year.\u00a0Dmitri Simashev earned his first AHL point on Saturday in just his third game, while\u00a0Scott Perunovich\u00a0picked up his 12th point of the season, which leads all Roadrunners defensemen and ranks tied for seventh in assists among AHL blueliners.\u00a0Montana Onyebuchi\u00a0also added an assist to round out a productive weekend for Tucson\u2019s backend group.<\/p>\n WE\u2019RE DOING IT LIVE

It\u2019s the team\u2019s\u00a0longest active streak, with four points (1g, 3a) in that span, and he has recorded an assist in\u00a0three straight games. He\u2019s one assist shy of matching\u00a0Ben McCartney\u2019s team season-high four-game assist streak and five-game point streak in early October.<\/p>\n
Assistant Captain\u00a0Ben McCartney enters the series with goals in back-to-back games, marking his\u00a0season-best scoring streak. He has\u00a0seven points (4g, 3a) in his last eight games\u00a0dating to Nov. 22 vs. Colorado, and recorded his\u00a0third multi-point outing\u00a0of the year in Tucson\u2019s 6-2 win over San Jose on Saturday with a\u00a0power-play goal and an assist.<\/p>\n
Roadrunners forward Cameron Hebig enters Friday on the verge of a franchise milestone after recording his second career hat trick last Saturday in San Jose. The three-goal performance moved him into a tie with Michael Bunting for the most goals in team history (74), giving him a chance to stand alone at the top of the Roadrunners\u2019 all-time list with his next tally. The hat trick also pushed Hebig to 152 career points as a Roadrunner, passing Michael Carcone for second on the franchise\u2019s all-time scoring list.<\/p>\n
