KGET) \u2014 A man who pleaded no contest to driving drunk when he crashed into a house in East Bakersfield was sentenced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Thomas David Gonzalez Jr. received three years\u2019 probation, with the first 90 days to be served in jail, prosecutors said. He has the option to serve work release instead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">His probation terms include abstaining from alcohol and completing substance abuse counseling. He\u2019ll also have to pay restitution in an amount to be determined by the probation department.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Early on Oct. 4, Gonzalez was driving a 2024 Honda Accord on Gage Street that left the roadway and crashed into a house, according to California Highway Patrol. A woman inside was injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Gonzalez tried to run but a witness helped an officer catch him, CHP said.
