The Edmonton Oilers<\/a> made a slew of roster moves Thursday, recalling one and placing three on various injured reserves.The first move saw the team recall forward Max Jones<\/a> from the AHL\u2019s Bakersfield Condors. Acquired ahead of last year\u2019s trade deadline from the Boston Bruins, Jones, 27, appeared in 19 games for the Oilers last season, scoring a goal and an assist.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s spent the start of the season with the Condors, scoring five goals and seven points in 17 games, taking 25 shots on goal.<\/p>\n

Edmonton made some other roster moves, placing forwards Connor Clattenburg<\/a> and Jack Roslovic on the injured reserve, and defenceman Jake Walman on the Long-Term Injured Reserve.<\/p>\n

The #Oilers<\/a> have recalled forward Max Jones from the @Condors<\/a>, placed forwards Connor Clattenburg & Jack Roslovic on injured reserve & moved defenceman Jake Walman to long-term injured reserve.<\/p>\n

Walman has missed the last seven games with a deep bone bruise<\/a> after blocking a shot in a spot without any padding,\u00a0Oilersnation\u2018s Jason Gregor reported earlier this week. If his placement was made retroactive to Nov. 20, the soonest he can be activated is for the Oilers\u2019 Dec. 18th game against the Boston Bruins, five games before the Christmas break.Roslovic has missed the last five games after blocking a shot<\/a> of his own. He\u2019s expected to return around Christmas. Clattenburg, meanwhile, has missed the last two games after getting high-sticked during last week\u2019s game against the Seattle Kraken. After receiving stitches, he woke up the following morning with some vision issues, Gregor reported<\/a>.The roster moves have opened up $2.6-million in cap space, according to PuckPedia, with a roster of 21 players. It opens the team up to potentially making another recall or two before they embark on a five-game road trip<\/a> that will begin Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, including stops against the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins, Bruins and Minnesota Wild.<\/p>\n

The Oilers host the Detroit Red Wings Thursday night at 7 PM MT.<\/p>\n
