The Edmonton Oilers<\/a> announced several transactions on Thursday, including that forwards Jack Roslovic and Connor Clattenburg had been placed on injured reserve, and that defenseman Jake Walman had been moved to long-term injured reserve.<\/p>\n

The #Oilers<\/a> have recalled forward Max Jones from the @Condors<\/a>, placed forwards Connor Clattenburg & Jack Roslovic on injured reserve & moved defenceman Jake Walman to long-term injured reserve.<\/p>\n

Roslovic has missed the last five games with an undisclosed injury. He isn\u2019t expected to return to the lineup until Christmas, so a move to IR was expected to make room on the roster. While the Oilers didn\u2019t specify if his placement was retroactive to his last game on November 25th, the current timeline for return will have him out well beyond the next seven days anyways.<\/p>\n

Roslovic was off to an excellent start before the injury, slotting into the Oilers top six perfectly and producing 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points in 23 games<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Clattenburg has missed the last two games with an eye injury. His original timeline was that he\u2019d miss multiple games, so it\u2019s no surprise that he\u2019s been placed on IR. The Oilers also didn\u2019t specify if his placement was retroactive to his last game on December 4th, but if that\u2019s the case, he\u2019s already eligible to return.<\/p>\n

Clattenburg has one goal in five games since his call-up from the AHL, as well as one goal and one assist for two points in 15 games with the Bakersfield Condors.<\/p>\n

Walman has missed the last seven games due to an undisclosed injury after blocking a shot. His timeline for return continues to be pushed back, so a move to LTIR was expected at this point. Assuming that it\u2019s retroactive to his last game on November 20th, he\u2019s already been out for 21 of the required 24 days and seven of the required 10 games needed to be on there before returning, so he\u2019s eligible to be activated as soon as Monday.<\/p>\n

Walman already missed the first five games of the season due to an undisclosed injury. He\u2019s been great when healthy though, as he has three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 17 games.<\/p>\n

With all of these moves undergone, it\u2019s given the Oilers a roster space to recall forward Max Jones from the AHL. Right now, it\u2019s not expected for Jones to play in the lineup.<\/p>\n

Jones has five goals and two assists for seven points in 17 games with the Condors this season.<\/p>\n

The Oilers currently sit in fourth in the Pacific Division with a 13-11-6 record<\/a>, good enough for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.
