Donations of nonperishable food, such as canned vegetables and meats, soups, beans, pasta, rice and peanut butter can be dropped off in bins at several Old Town locations, including museums, restaurants, hotels and shops.<\/p>\n San Diego Bay Parade of Lights<\/p>\n Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14 and Dec. 21, a procession of decorated boats will be arriving off the shore of San Diego Bay for the 55th annual Parade of Lights. DEL MAR: Rose enthusiasts create bouquets to cheer homebound seniors \u2026
\nThe Del Mar Rose Society, which formed in 2000, has a 25 year long tradition they call, \u201cThe Thanksgiving of Roses.\u201d This year as part of that tradition, 20 members of the group gathered to create 80 bouquets of roses collected from their own gardens along with a donation of roses from SunVista Farms. On the day before Thanksgiving members of the Rose Society, in coordination with Del Mar Community Connections, visited local seniors, many of whom were homebound or recently widowed and delivered the bouquets.
