No ticket matched all six numbers, leaving the roughly $1 billion jackpot unclaimed.<\/p>\n<p>The lottery website reported that the $1.975 million ticket was purchased at Lichine\u2019s Liquor &amp; Deli on South Land Park Drive in Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p>Four additional tickets statewide won about $57,000 each, and more than 412,000 tickets won smaller prizes.<\/p>\n<p>The odds of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2025\/08\/31\/2m-lottery-tickets-bought-in-bay-area-1-billion-jackpot-remains\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">winning the Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 292 million<\/a>, the California Lottery\u2019s website states. Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
