They simply couldn’t be stopped as they easily beat the Madera Coyotes<\/a> 71-41. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.<\/p>\n Fresno Christian can attribute much of their success to Ty Medeiros<\/a>, who posted nine points and three steals.<\/p>\n As for Madera, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5. While losing is never fun, they can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ California basketball rankings (they are ranked 778th, while Fresno Christian is ranked 270th).<\/p>\n When it comes to explaining why Madera lost, don’t look at Jason Valladares<\/a>. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-8 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Theran VanLoon<\/a> also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.<\/p>\n Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fresno Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they’ll take on Kingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. Madera and Sierra will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Coyotes will need to watch out since the Chieftains have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.<\/p>\n
