The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.<\/p>\n

Roosevelt had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt St. Francis on Saturday. The Rough Riders blew past the Sharks 67-43. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Rough Riders this season.<\/p>\n

It was another big night for Cobi Posas<\/a>, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 15 boards. He also posted four blocks, which is notable because Roosevelt is 3-1 when he posts at least three blocks, but 1-3 otherwise. Pharin Amey<\/a> was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.<\/p>\n

Roosevelt was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are a perfect 4-0 when they’ve passed the ball that well.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there’s no place like home for Fresno, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 55-33 margin over Mission Oak on Tuesday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season.<\/p>\n

Roosevelt better focus on containing Kai Alfa<\/a> and Gavin Johnson<\/a> as the pair were huge in Fresno’s win. Alfa dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards, while Johnson shot 88% from the field en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. Alfa is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he’s grabbed at least two every time he’s taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tytus Hughes<\/a>, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 12 points.<\/p>\n

The win got Roosevelt back to even at 4-4. As for Fresno, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.<\/p>\n

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Roosevelt has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.1 boards per game. However, it’s not like Fresno struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 28.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we’ll see if one team can grab an edge.<\/p>\n

Roosevelt strolled past Fresno when the teams last played back in February by a score of 66-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rough Riders since the squad won’t have the home-court advantage this time around.
