BAKERSFIELD, Calif. \u2013 The Academic All-District\u00ae Women’s Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), honors the nation’s top student-athletes for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom. Cal State Bakersfield\u00a0is proud to congratulate four Roadrunners\u00a0on earning Academic All-District\u00ae recognition: Luiza Da Cruz<\/a>, Boden Liljedahl<\/a>, Suelen Lima<\/a>, and Druegan Davis<\/a>.<\/p>\n A senior from Hanford, Calif., Davis earned Academic All-District\u00ae for the second-straight season. As a key player for the CSUB women’s volleyball team, she appeared all 30 matches, averaging 2.40\u00a0kills per set, third-most on the team.\u00a0Majoring in Psychology, she also carries a 3.52\u00a0GPA.<\/p>\n Lima made an immediate impact in her first year for the `Runners, tallying 2.75 kills per set and 0.89 blocks per set, both second-best on the squad. A Physical Education major, Lima has earned a 3.63 cumulative GPA.<\/p>\n Liljedahl\u00a0was a staple on the back line for the `Runners, splitting time as the starting libero as well as the defensive specialist. She averaged 1.88 digs per set and tallied 21 service aces on the season. The junior boasts a perfect 4.00 GPA as a biology major.<\/p>\n Da Cruz turned into Bakersfield’s go-to option at the setter position this season, shining on the court with 6.13 assists and 2.48 digs per set. The native of Brazil is a kinesiology major and holds a 3.95 GPA.<\/p>\n About Academic All-District and All-America<\/p>\n To be nominated for Academic All-District\u00ae honors, student-athletes must be among the top performing contributors on their team\u00a0and maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA\u2014one of the highest academic standards for awards in collegiate athletics.<\/p>\n Academic All-District\u00ae honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America\u00ae ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America\u00ae honorees will be announced in early 2026. for the volleyball\u00a0program.<\/p>\n
