{"id":97111,"date":"2025-12-16T19:01:33","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T19:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/97111\/"},"modified":"2025-12-16T19:01:33","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T19:01:33","slug":"stanford-medicine-releases-study-that-says-mrna-based-covid-vaccines-can-cause-myocarditis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/97111\/","title":{"rendered":"Stanford Medicine releases study that says mRNA-based COVID vaccines can cause myocarditis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 A study from Stanford Medicine revealed that <a href=\"https:\/\/thenationaldesk.com\/news\/americas-news-now\/food-and-drug-administration-launches-probe-into-potential-covid-19-vaccine-link-to-deaths-children-adults-leaked-memo-dr-prasad-centers-for-disease-control-health-secretary-rfk-jr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">mRNA-based vaccines<\/a> for COVID-19 can cause myocarditis in young men and adolescents.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford Medicine revealed in an article published Dec. 11 that while mRNA vaccines for COVID-19 are \u201cextremely safe,\u201d there is a risk of myocarditis or heart inflammation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVaccine-associated myocarditis occurs in about one in every 140,000 vaccinees after a first dose and rises to one in 32,000 after a second dose,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/med.stanford.edu\/news\/all-news\/2025\/12\/myocarditis-vaccine-covid.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the Stanford Medicine article reads<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor reasons that aren\u2019t clear, incidence peaks among male vaccinees age 30 or below, at one in 16,750 vaccinees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joseph Wu, MD, PhD, the director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, said that in most cases, heart function is <a href=\"https:\/\/thenationaldesk.com\/news\/americas-news-now\/how-safe-and-effective-are-childhood-vaccines-americans-weigh-in-health-care-immunizations-public-health-parents-families-mmr-measles-pew-research-center-survey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">restored after the vaccine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not a heart attack in the traditional sense,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no blockage of blood vessels as found in most common heart attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said that when the symptoms are mild there hasn\u2019t been structural damage to the heart, doctors observe the patients and monitor them for recovery.<\/p>\n<p>He said that if the inflammation is severe, it could result in death, but that rarely happens.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMedical scientists are quite aware that COVID itself can cause myocarditis,\u201d Wu said. \u201cTo a lesser extent, so can the mRNA vaccines.
