{"id":97279,"date":"2025-12-16T21:27:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T21:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/97279\/"},"modified":"2025-12-16T21:27:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T21:27:09","slug":"the-social-diary-festive-charity-fun-raising","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/97279\/","title":{"rendered":"The Social Diary \u2013 Festive charity fun-raising!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ljathenaeum.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Athenaeum Library of Music and Arts<\/a> held its members\u2019 holiday party this month, and a Charles Dickens-worthy festive event it was.<\/p>\n<p>Guests enjoyed pianoside Christmas caroling, a cookie village display by Girard Gourmet that started disappearing cookie by cookie, a bountiful buffet also by Girard Gourmet, and oh, that eggnog!<\/p>\n<p>The Athenaeum is generously supported by the community as well as the Dr. Seuss Fund, the Conrad Prebys Foundation, and Las Patronas.<\/p>\n<p>Also supported by Las Patronas is the<a href=\"https:\/\/stgermainechildrenscharity.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> St. Germaine Children\u2019s Charity<\/a>, which held its annual Silver Tea at a top-secret location in La Jolla. <\/p>\n<p>Amid the home\u2019s splendor were a few hundred of San Diego\u2019s chic crowd enjoying traditional tea, a bit of wine, and lovely cucumber and egg sandwiches, with sweet treats!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timesofsandiego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/17-st.-germaine.jpg?ssl=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"1011\" data-id=\"359622\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/17-st.-germaine.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-359622\"  \/><\/a><br \/>Kathryn Murphy with her beautiful daughters Meghan Burton and Kaitlin Arduino at St. Germaine.
