BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Board of Supervisors has appointed Kendra Graham as the next County Counsel and Craig Murphy as the next Director of Planning and Natural Resources, both effective Dec. 27, 2025. <\/p>\n
Graham has been with the Kern County Office of County Counsel for over 20 years, serving in various roles, including Chief Deputy County Counsel and Assistant County Counsel. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from CSU Bakersfield and a Juris Doctor from the California Pacific School of Law.<\/p>\n
Murphy, who began his career with the county as a planner 20 years ago, has served as interim Director of Planning and Natural Resources since Aug. 23, 2025.
