FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A person of interest in a homicide in Dos Palos on Tuesday has been detained following a lengthy law enforcement chase that ended on Highway 99 in central Fresno.<\/p>\n
The pursuit started north of the Fresno County line and went south on Highway 99 into Fresno before it ended up on Highway 41.<\/p>\n
The pursuit then went back on northbound Highway 99, where the vehicle eventually stopped near Clinton Avenue.<\/p>\n
Several law enforcement vehicles were seen blocking traffic as officers made contact with someone.<\/p>\n
Dos Palos Police Chief Dayton Snyder confirmed that someone was detained.<\/p>\n
The investigation started on Tuesday afternoon when a welfare check was done at a home near Santos Street in Dos Palos.<\/p>\n
Officers found an unresponsive man inside, and he was declared dead with visible injuries on his body.<\/p>\n
