FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — From family road trips to jet-setting abroad, peak travel season is upon us.<\/p>\n
AAA projects<\/a> more than 122 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles from home between December 20th through January 1st. That’s a little more than 2 percent more than last year.<\/p>\n According to the 2025 Deloitte Holiday Travel Survey<\/a>, 31 percent of Americans think they’re doing worse financially, translating into fewer trips and smaller budgets.<\/p>\n The survey found that travel continues to be a part of holiday traditions, but average trip budgets have decreased by 18 percent — to around $2,300.<\/p>\n But nothing beats the priceless memories you can make at home.<\/p>\n With Fresno being just over an hour away from the gates of three national parks, including Yosemite, staycations are a great option.<\/p>\n “Everyone’s idea of adventure is different, and coming here and being local and being able to have everything that we offer included is a great deal right in your backyard,” says Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite General Manager, Brett Archer.<\/p>\n Archer says they have accommodations for various price points, with ice skating and snowshoeing included in your rate.<\/p>\n For news updates, follow Vanessa Vasconcelos on Facebook<\/a>, X<\/a> and Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2025 KFSN-TV.
