Holiday lights, community traditions, and festive events give residents plenty of ways to celebrate before the year comes to a close.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"777\">The holiday spirit kicks off in Old Town Clovis on Friday, December 19, when The Cheer Is Here invites shoppers to enjoy extended hours until 8 p.m. Storefronts sparkle, sidewalks bustle, and the evening becomes a chance to soak in the sights and sounds of the season while supporting local businesses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"1195\">Later that day, families and friends can continue the celebration at the Clovis Rudolph Run on Saturday, December 20. Beginning near California Health Sciences University, runners and walkers of all ages take part in a 5K or 2-mile run\/walk along the Old Town Trail. Many dress in holiday attire, adding laughter and color to the morning and making it one of the community\u2019s most festive seasonal traditions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1197\" data-end=\"1546\">When night falls, the glow continues at Candy Cane Lane, where neighbors along 801\u2013847 N. Cindy Ave. turn their streets into a sparkling winter wonderland. Open nightly from dark until around 10 p.m. through December 25, Candy Cane Lane is completely free, with no donations or tickets required \u2014 just lights, music, and community cheer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"2400\">Beyond these holiday highlights, Clovis\u2019 community calendar is full of other events that keep the city lively through the end of the year and into January. On December 20, the Clovis Kiwanis Luncheon brings residents together at the Clovis Senior Activity Center. As the year turns, the city will observe Christmas Day on December 25 and New Year\u2019s Day on January 1, while also hosting events like the Clovis New Year\u2019s Day 5K and the Celebrating the American Spirit: Hmong American Friendship program at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2402\" data-end=\"2750\">Still, in these final days before Christmas, it\u2019s the glow of Old Town evenings, the laughter along the Rudolph Run, and the twinkling streets of Candy Cane Lane that truly capture the magic of the season.
