{"id":99351,"date":"2025-12-18T06:05:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T06:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/99351\/"},"modified":"2025-12-18T06:05:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T06:05:08","slug":"reindeer-spotted-running-on-la-freeway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/99351\/","title":{"rendered":"Reindeer spotted running on LA freeway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/labe5wion4tqmhcy.jpg\" alt=\"Reindeer wrangled after dashing down LA freeway\" class=\"sr-only\" data-v-4292be72=\"\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">LOS ANGELES &#8211; Los Angeles has had its fair share of pursuits and unusual events occurring on our busy freeways\u2026 but have you ever seen a reindeer pursuit?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KTTV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Two reindeer were spotted running on the 5 Freeway near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxla.com\/tag\/us\/ca\/los-angeles-county\/san-fernando\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">San Fernando<\/a> on December 13.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Video posted to Storyful shows crews attempting to corral the reindeer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DSXzEYrCaCN\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">LA Animal Services<\/a>, \u2018Noel\u2019 and \u2018Cookie\u2019 escaped from their transport trailer and ran onto the freeway.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Steven Bracamontes, who captured video of the reindeer, said he was heading to work when he spotted the vehicles weaving through traffic.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">&#8220;Then I saw a reindeer, not a regular reindeer,&#8221; said Bracamontes.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Animal Services, along with Caltrans, and a good Samaritan successfully corralled the animals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">\u2018Noel\u2019 and \u2018Cookie\u2019 were taken to West Valley Animal Center for evaluation.
