{"id":99539,"date":"2025-12-18T09:38:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T09:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/99539\/"},"modified":"2025-12-18T09:38:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T09:38:13","slug":"fresno-state-water-polo-announces-2026-schedule-the-collegian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/99539\/","title":{"rendered":"Fresno State water polo announces 2026 schedule \u2013 The Collegian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Fresno State water polo team announced its <a href=\"https:\/\/gobulldogs.com\/news\/2025\/12\/17\/water-polo-2026-schedule-released\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">2026 schedule<\/a> on Dec. 17.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs open up the season with their annual Polopalooza tournament, where they will play the Michigan Wolverines on Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. The next day, the Bulldogs play the Indiana Hoosiers and the University of California, Irvine Anteaters on Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs will close out Polopalooza against the San Jose State Spartans on Jan 18 at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>They will then travel to Berkeley, California; Tempe, Arizona and Irvine, California for three other tournaments before returning home for one game against the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds on Feb. 20.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, the Bulldogs will be in Santa Clara to open up Golden Coast Conference (GCC) play against the Broncos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fscollegian.com\/2025\/04\/dogs-lose-heartbreaker-in-gcc-finals\/#live-update-116496\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">A rematch<\/a> of the 2025 GCC championship game between the Bulldogs and Loyola Marymount University will be played at the same venue where the Bulldogs lost their conference title streak.<\/p>\n<p>From there, the Bulldogs will stay in Southern California, as they take on Azusa Pacific and the University of California, Los Angeles, on back-to-back days on March 14-15.<\/p>\n<p>After a month-long road trip, the Bulldogs come home to host the California Baptist Lancers, San Diego State Aztecs and Pacific Tigers to close out GCC play.<\/p>\n<p>The GCC tournament will be hosted at the Fresno State Aquatics Center from April 10-12. All seven teams from the conference will make the tournament. The conference champion will earn an automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament in San Diego, California. The tournament will start on April 24.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time since 2019 that Fresno State will host the tournament. The Bulldogs won the tournament from 2021-2024 before LMU dethroned them in the championship game last season, 14-12.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Fresno State water polo team announced its 2026 schedule on Dec. 17.
