(KGET) \u2014 The trial of an accused drunken driver who hit multiple spectators at the 2023 Bakersfield Christmas Parade has been postponed\u00a0to early January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Tuesday, a new trial date of Jan. 5 was set for Alan Booth, who\u2019s facing four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two DUI-related counts and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There have been numerous delays in the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to police reports, Booth took a breath test after the Dec. 7, 2023, crash that showed his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kget.com\/news\/local-news\/dui-news\/parade-crash-driver-had-bac-3x-legal-limit-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:blood-alcohol content;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">blood-alcohol content<\/a>\u00a0was 0.25%. Blood tests revealed even an higher number number \u2014 0.28%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Booth was released on bail but arrested months later on suspicion of driving on a suspended license with a BAC of 0.24%.
