Omni Hotels & Resorts has opened the Omni Fort Lauderdale, marking the brand’s return to South Florida after more than 20 years.
The waterfront property has debuted as part of the city’s Broward County Convention Center District expansion. The hotel is connected to the convention center.Â
The Omni Fort Lauderdale has 801 rooms, including 82 suites, as well as a large pool deck and the 8,500-square-foot Mokara Spa, which is inspired by Florida’s natural springs. The spa has eight treatment rooms, a hammam, a steam room, a courtyard with plunge pool and a relaxation lounge.Â
Steps from the spa and fitness center, the resort-style pool deck features sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean and city.
The property’s culinary program features six dining concepts, including the sports bar Fair Ketch, which is also home to a Topgolf Swing Suite; the Caribbean-inspired Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar; the Ibis Sky Lounge, billed as a social rooftop venue; the Hidden Key lobby bar with indoor and outdoor waterfront seating; Tide Coastal Kitchen, poolside retreat exclusively for hotel guests; and Leeward Market, a cafe serving specialty coffee, pastries, and grab-and-go options. A seventh culinary venue will join the mix in 2026.
The hotel offers 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including its 30,000-square-foot Waterway Ballroom, which the property says is the largest ballroom in Greater Fort Lauderdale. The hotel also has the 15,000-square-foot Port Everglades Ballroom, 47 distinct meeting spaces and 27 breakout rooms.
Omni had previously operated the Omni International Hotel in Miami, with that property now flagged as the Hilton Miami Downtown.
