JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The pedestrian hit by three cars and killed on Highway 17 in Jacksonville has been identified, and police are looking for the SUV accused of hitting the victim and driving off.
On Monday, around 9:40 p.m., Jacksonville police went to a vehicle crash on Highway 17 near Evergreen Drive. Officers arrived on scene and found a person lying in the road.
Identified as Edgar Solis, the Kentucky man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they have notified his next of kin.
