December 30, 2025 – The Homeless Leadership Alliance has activated Cold Night Shelters in St. Petersburg, as the National Weather Service expects “feels like” temperatures to drop below 40 degrees between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority will offer free bus rides to the shelters from 5 p.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday. Facilities at the Unitarian Universalist Church, at 100 Mirror Lake Dr. N., and the Salvation Army, at 1400 4th St. S., are open to adult men and women in St. Petersburg.
