The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol responded to a scene east of U.S. 41 on Corkscrew Road in Estero.

Troopers arrested a man following a traffic stop near the Publix Shopping Center on Tuesday afternoon.

According to troopers, they conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle. The driver, who has not yet been identified, then fled, prompting law enforcement to chase after him. 

He was captured and arrested.

Troopers provided an update to WINK News, saying that no additional information is available at this time
