Pinellas NOW and the League of Women Voters St. Petersburg will hold the Pinellas NOW’s annual rally and sign-waving visibility event in downtown St. Petersburg to commemorate the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision at various intersections downtown St. Petersburg.
Why hold this event?
– This offers a way to collectively express our outrage
– When those in power try to silence us, we rise louder. When they attack our communities, we fight back—together.
– To make sure to voice resistance to attacks on reproductive freedom, including the six-week abortion ban, now in place, imposed on Florida women.
