JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters and other JSO members held a Neighborhood Crime Prevention Walk Saturday morning in the Ortega Forest neighborhood.
The walk began and ended at John Stockton Elementary School.
Several residents were seen joining JSO during the walk throughout the neighborhood.

According to JSO, these walks give Waters and his team the opportunity to connect directly with the community, listen to their concerns, and work toward solutions.
“No issue is too small when it comes to your safety,” JSO wrote in a Facebook post.

The sheriff has held crime prevention walks in many other areas including Arlington, Nocatee and the Westside.
