FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A teenage boy and his two younger sisters had a traumatic encounter over the holiday weekend after a man allegedly broke into their home, restrained them with a cord and committed acts of lewd and lascivious behavior.
According to an arrest affidavit from the Fort Pierce Police Department, on December 22, one of its officers responded to a home near Avenue E in reference to a burglary. Upon the officer’s arrival, law enforcement made contact with a 13-year-old boy who alleged that while his mother was at work, a man entered their home through the back door and restrained him and his two younger sisters with cords.
The affidavit continues that the man then grabbed a cell phone and a laptop and began to watch porn with the children. The report says that the man allegedly touched one of the young girls inappropriately and held a knife to the 13-year-old boy’s throat.

The report states that the suspect instructed the children to count to 1,000 and that he would be gone. The affidavit says when he heard the children’s mother return home, he ran out of the back door.
In the days after the report was filed, the Fort Pierce Police Department stated that its officers canvassed the area, relying on cooperation from community members who came forward with information.
The information led officers to find the suspect, identified as Antonio Zaid Diaz Alvarez, near North 14th Street. Police say he was arrested without incident.
Fort Pierce Police found that Diaz Alvarez, 51, has active warrants in St. Lucie and Miami-Dade counties and was facing charges for:

As a result of the incident, Diaz is facing charges of robbery, false imprisonment of children under 13, lewd and lascivious behavior, and lewd and lascivious molestation.
