The North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team plays the Florida State Seminoles on Tuesday, Dec. 30 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2), at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill.Â
Sitting at No. 12 in the USA TODAY coaches poll and No. 12 in the AP poll, the Tar Heels (12-1) are playing the Seminoles (7-6) in the ACC opener for both squads ahead of New Year’s Day 2026. UNC has won six in a row against FSU and hasn’t lost to the ‘Noles in Chapel Hill since 2010. Overall, the Tar Heels are 58-14 in ACC openers.
