PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Governor Ron DeSantis announced on December 31st that Florida has been awarded over $209 million in federal funding to improve health care in rural areas.
According to a press release from the governor’s office, the funding will help Florida improve healthcare in rural areas by hiring and training additional staff, upgrading technology, and expanding access to services.
The Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) will soon release procurements for the RHTP across the state.
