JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A Jacksonville family’s home was damaged in a New Year’s Day fire.
Crews were called to a house fire on Williams Street just after 9 a.m. Thursday.
The Jacksonville Fire Department tells WITN two adults, two children, and two pets were inside the home at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported.
Crews were able to get the fire under control and fire officials say the home has minor damage.
Along with the fire department, Jacksonville police and EMS also responded to the call.
Officials say they have reached out to the Red Cross to help the family.
