Firefighters battled a house fire Thursday morning on Mile Marsh Drive in Riverview, caused by fireworks, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.HCFR responded after multiple 911 calls at approximately 12:49 a.m. The first units on the scene found a fully-involved two-story residence with flames threatening a neighboring home.The fire was brought under control in just under one hour, HCFR said.The residents were alerted by working smoke alarms and evacuated the home safely before the arrival of firefighters.No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family.
