• Aaron Lee Geoghagan is the first baby born in either Clay or Duval counties at 12:02 a.m. at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital to Tim and Stephanie Geoghagan. Aaron weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces.
• Refuse Services Inc., which Waste Management Inc. owns, files a lawsuit against Clay County, claiming the commissioners violated a contract agreement by trying to close down the Rosemary Hill Landfill.
• Members of the First Baptist Church of Orange Park agree to ban youth from using their parking lot for skateboarding because of the amount of litter that’s left behind.
