The Miami Hurricanes pulled off the biggest upset in College Football Playoff history on Wednesday when they knocked off defending national champion Ohio State 24-14 to advance to the CFP semifinals against the winner of Ole Miss-Georgia.
It was the biggest win in recent memory for the Hurricanes, who were 9.5-point underdogs heading into the contest.
And while Miami fans are likely still celebrating the team’s win 24 hours after the fact, the U did get hit with some disappointing news not long after its CFP win.

A former four-star recruit in the class of 2024, Robinson hasn’t played a snap in two seasons in Miami. The sophomore was the No. 23-ranked player in the state of Florida and the No. 31 wide receiver according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Miami had a deep WR depth chart this season. The Hurricanes got a breakout year from freshman phenom Malachi Toney, who’s logged 94 catches 1,008 yards, and eight touchdowns this season, and Robinson hard a hard time getting on the field with Keelan Marion, CJ Daniels, Joshua Moore, and Joshisa Trader all getting looks this season.
When he committed to Miami, Robinson also had offers from Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Penn State.
The Gators, Tigers, and Penn State have all suffered WR losses in the transfer portal and could factor into where he ends up next.
